This is a rerun of show No. 115, originally broadcast July 23, 2023.
The basic theme of my show on June 8 is “A Touch of Latin”, but it includes other songs as well, when we e.g. take a walk on Memory Lane. It also includes two requests, which don’t have a Latin touch. Anyway, I hope you will enjoy the songs I picked by Bob Moore, Billy Butterfield, James Last, The Hollyridge Strings, Al Hirt, Dean Martin, Petula Clark, Oliver Nelson and Steve Allen, Cleo Laine, Carlos Romanos, Caterina Valente, Bert Kaempfert, Percy Faith, Edmundo Ross, Alessandro Alessandroni, The Sandpipers, Doris Day, and Ray Conniff. I produced my show for July 6 before I learned the sad news that Ken Conlin, the founder of Humboldt 101, passed away on June 30, 2025. He was a great friend and a true advocate for the kind of music we all love. He will be sadly missed. I don’t know if this also means the end of Humboldt 101 (and thus the end of my show). We will have to wait and see. Anyway, my show on July 6 includes the following artists: Ferrante & Teicher, Henry Mancini, The Firebirds, Nat King Cole, Laurindo Almeida, Edmundo Ros, Terry Snyder, Curt Haagers, Sandie Shaw, Paul Mauriat, Nancy Sinatra, Andy Williams, Barbra Streisand & Bob Dylan, Tony Hatch, Dixie Chicks, John Barry, James Last, Ray Conniff (orchestra and chorus, singers, and vocal). Listen up and enjoy!

For various reasons my show on July 13 is a re-run of No. 194, originally broadcast on January 26, which was well-received by quite a few listeners. It was advertised as follows: “Some sets of my show focus on Edith Piaf, Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland, but the show has much more to offer – recordings by Cass Elliot, Ray Anthony, Bert Kaempfert, ABBA, Billy Vaughn, Luis Cobos, Ella Fitzgerald, Jack Jezzro, The Henry Mancini Concert Band, Herb Alpert, Johnny Star, The Mexicali Singers (Anita Kerr), Dean Martin, and – of course! – Ray Conniff." Tune in, listen up and enjoy my 218th broadcast!
Here is what I would have had in store for you on July 20, but the show did not air: Music from the big screen, from the musical “Man of La Mancha”, songs about “wheels”, historic mono recordings converted to stereo, some Latin music and much more. Artists include Andy Williams, Xavier Cugat, Bert Kaempfert, Charles Aznavour, Shirley Bassey, Ronnie Aldrich, Linda Eder, Jack Jones, Artie Shaw, Don Cherry (with Ray Conniff), Pink Martini & Michael Feinstein, Percy Faith, Brenda Lee, Johnny Duncan, Margaret Whiting, John Barry, Henry Mancini, The Ray Conniff Singers, and Ray Conniff, his orchestra and chorus. Tune in, listen up and enjoy!

My show on May 18 focuses on spring-related songs as well as on songs with weekdays in their titles. Fans of Ray Conniff will love this show, as it features three tracks with his orchestra and singers plus one backing for Eileen Rodgers. Other artists include Andy Williams, Floyd Cramer, Lynn Anderson, Richard Carpenter, Nancy Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Percy Faith, Manuel and the Music of the Mountains, the New Christy Minstrels, Jim Groce, Herb Alpert, Billy Mure, Jimmy Dorsey, Julie Andrews and Dean Martin. Tune in, listen up and enjoy show No. 210!
